There’s more lists, it seems, than people some times.

And, there’s a secret about lists that’s applicable to nearly every list we’ve ever seen…

They’re biased at best and completely rigged at worst.

Any ranking, no matter where you see it, is rooted in either opinion, popularity (which is just opinion, right?), or straight out pay-per-position.

That’s why I hesitate to create too many lists, and when I do, I state up front- this is my opinion and I welcome any and all discussion, criticisms, commentary, etc. (I might not engage in a back and forth on it, but I do acknowledge the concept that I might well be ‘wrong’).

Anyways, here’s a list that is not mine. I am not affiliated in any way with the outfit that produces the list and have no connection with any of it other than I am a solar enthusiast and I am curious to see what’s what on the list.

The list can be sorted by HQ state which is how I view it- Mostly because, well, I am focused on Tucson, so I sort out and look at the companies listed in Arizona.

One interesting thing I see in the list is that the companies range from between about 17 employees all the way up to 2100 employees with several having over 100 employees.

There is one thing I need to say about this list so as to keep it in perspective…

It appears to me that the only way to get onto this list is to register for it. Meaning there are companies that are really good but aren’t on this list. For whatever reason (they didn’t know of this list, don’t like the company that does it, are too busy, etc.) they absence on this list has little meaning or correlation to how good they are.

If I were to use this list, I would primarily use it as a way to find potential companies that I would like to ‘research’ online to find what kind of comments there were about them.

Not as a place to find the ‘best’…

Anyways, enjoy the list in your own way.
